Roberlo UK, a leading specialist in coatings and repair solutions for the refinish aftermarket and industrial sectors, has announced the opening of a new facility in Leeds. The company has signed a 10-year lease for a 6,004 sq ft industrial unit at Unit 3C of Airedale Industrial Estate in Hunslet, marking a significant expansion of its operations in the north of England.
The new site is strategically located just off Hunslet Road (A61) and the Hunslet Distributor Road, approximately 1.5 miles from Leeds city centre and close to junctions three and four of the M621 motorway. This prime location is expected to enhance Roberlo’s logistics and distribution capabilities, not only across the region but also on a national scale.
The unit features a large warehouse area, complemented by high-quality office spaces on the ground and first floors. The facility boasts an impressive eaves height of seven metres, a secure self-contained yard, and essential amenities including male and female WCs and a designated kitchen area.
Albert Torrent, head of sales at Roberlo UK, expressed enthusiasm about the new facility. “This new site will provide the perfect platform to better serve our growing customer base in the north of England. It will allow us to offer quicker access to our products and services while supporting Roberlo’s ambitious growth plans within the UK market,” he stated.
Torrent also noted that the strategic location of the new facility, with its close proximity to key transport links and arterial routes, will streamline supply chain operations, further enhancing Roberlo’s reputation for timely delivery and exceptional service, regardless of technical requirements.
Founded in Girona in 1968, Roberlo started as a family-run company importing products from Italy for marketing in Spain. Over the years, it has expanded its international presence and has become one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of paints, repair solutions, and fixing products for various sectors, including automotive, industrial, and construction.
Roberlo launched its UK division in 1999 as its third subsidiary and has since grown to encompass 20 subsidiaries with a commercial presence in over 100 countries worldwide. This expansion reflects the company’s commitment to serving its clients effectively and meeting the increasing demand for its products.
Tom Lamb, property manager at Towngate PLC, expressed his excitement about Roberlo UK’s new lease at Airedale Industrial Estate. “It is a real pleasure to welcome Roberlo UK to the estate. With its prime location and the surrounding network of thriving businesses, I am confident that Roberlo will establish a highly successful operation from this site, further extending its already significant footprint,” he said.
Towngate PLC was represented by Hazel Cooper, associate director at Carter Towler in Leeds, while Roberlo UK was represented by Alec Michael, partner at Michael Steel & Co. The opening of this new facility is set to bolster Roberlo’s operations in the UK and support its ongoing growth strategy in the region.
