Age Friendly Community Walk Abouts have been developed with older residents to support the sharing of local knowledge and information, whilst mobilising residents within neighbourhoods to talk and be visible in the places where they live.
These events take place in areas alongside local residents, partner agencies and community volunteers and aim to improve peoples understanding of what makes their area a great place to live and age well.
These events also provide an opportunity for older residents to raise any ideas they have for new community projects and enable their voices to be heard.
