Manchester-based software company Open ECX has announced a series of new appointments as it expands into a range of sectors, following significant business wins across industries including hospitality, food and beverage, healthcare, and construction. The company, which specialises in cloud-based software that automates business transactions, is experiencing increased demand for its order-to-cash and procure-to-pay technology, prompting a raft of new roles within its commercial and operations teams.
Open ECX’s recent expansion includes securing contracts with high-profile clients and forging strategic partnerships with industry leaders. To support its growing operations, the company has appointed Joseph Smith, Rachel Kirby, and Lucy Murphy to its commercial team, while Emma Garland, Angus Varndell, Dylan Meadows, and Malak Farhat have joined the operations team. With further recruitment planned in the coming months, the company is set to expand its workforce to maintain its rapid growth trajectory.

Open ECX’s software solutions automate and streamline financial processes for businesses, with capabilities such as invoicing, ordering, and statement reconciliation. The technology is designed to integrate seamlessly with widely used ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft, helping companies improve efficiency and manage their financial operations more effectively.
Among Open ECX’s new clients is Beckett’s Foods, a UK-based manufacturer of bacon and gammon for the foodservice and retail industries. In the healthcare sector, the company has secured medical equipment manufacturer Vernacare as a client, further demonstrating its ability to cater to diverse markets.
Other recent customer wins include Arco, a leading supplier of workplace safety equipment and services with an annual turnover exceeding £300m, and Solenis, a global provider of specialty chemicals for water-intensive industries. Engineering company Portsmouth Aviation, property services specialist Cardo Group, and paving manufacturer Tobermore are also new additions to Open ECX’s growing client list.
In addition to securing new clients, Open ECX has established several key strategic partnerships. Among them is a collaboration with Kerridge Commercial Systems, a provider of ERP and business management software for industries such as distribution, automotive, and rental. The company has also partnered with Medius and the National Merchant Buying Society, which represents independent builders, plumbers, and hardware merchants in the UK.
