buzz Manchester’s Age Friendly Team

Buzz AF Team

Our specialist Age Friendly Neighbourhood Health Workers work across the 12 Manchester neighbourhoods. Their work focuses on championing age friendly activities, linking in with other local services, and supporting older residents to ensure they can age well within their local communities.

Our Age Friendly team consists of Megan, Simon and Yasmin.

The team ensures older residents from a wide range of backgrounds have meaningful opportunities to share their views and take a leading role in where they live, generating ideas for new projects which aim to improve health and wellbeing in later life.

The Age Friendly team also collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders to support and develop age friendly networks across the city, including working closely alongside Manchester City Council to support the delivery of the Age Friendly Manchester Strategy.

Here’s a taster of some of the projects which the team are supporting in February and March 2022!
