Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak and lockdown, we've been helping Manchester residents to stay connected, creative and healthy with a diverse range of community mental and physical wellbeing initiatives.

Our Physical Activity Referral Service (PARS) have moved their exercise classes online which they now deliver through videos on social media, delivering two classes a day most weeks. From tai chi for coordination and relaxation to tailored strength and balance classes, there’s a lot to choose from to keep you moving during quick breaks whilst working from home.

The Knowledge Service within buzz have launched their COVID-19 Resource Hub, a simple, accessible hub where you can find all the most relevant information around the current COVID-19 outbreak. From mental health support during the pandemic to myth-busting tools, and links to essential information on the outbreak, it's all here in one place.

Our Neighbourhood Health Workers have been busy helping to uplift residents of Manchester’s communities by working on the ground in the heart of communities since the outbreak began. From teaming up with Manchester Urban Diggers to distribute Mini Kitchen Garden Kits, to delivering arts and crafts packs to children and helping local communities set up Mutual Aid Groups, the buzz team, along with our close partners and charities, have been at the heart of helping Mancunians get through this challenging time.

Aron Moss, Operational Manager of buzz Manchester said: “Manchester residents are well known for pulling together and helping each other out in times of need, and that is exactly what I’ve seen going on over the past few months. I’m so proud to be part of an organisation who work directly within the communities of Manchester, along with our amazing partners, and make a real difference to people’s lives.”
