Neighbourhood Health Worker – Age Friendly
As a specialist Age Friendly Neighbourhood Health Worker I work alongside buzz colleagues in north Manchester, older residents and community groups to develop initiatives to make neighbourhoods and services more age friendly.
I have worked in the NHS now for around 16 years, working mainly in public health improvement roles, such as physical activity, cardiovascular disease, health inequalities, community development and public mental health. I was also a Neighbourhood Health Worker in Rossendale many years ago.
Since joining buzz last year, I have found everyone is really friendly and easy to get along with. This helps the different teams work together more effectively and come up with different ideas.
I love being outdoors and enjoy running and mountain biking. I’m really into making stuff at the moment… I just knocked up a snowboard bench for the garden made from old pallets and my first ever snowboard.
