Rose Boyd
Neighbourhood Health Worker
My role involves project implementation across the whole of the City of Manchetser area using a community development approach. This may mean replicating successful projects from other neighbourhoods, or working from the outset with a citywide organisation. My role is quite new, so I am looking forward to seeing how it will develop.
I worked in media research and admin roles before starting working on community projects in 2009. The first project I worked on supported children at a homework club. I have worked in North Manchester as a food worker, and I started working with buzz in 2015. I have a Degree in Sociology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health Nutrition.
I love being out and about in the community, meeting and learning from people. I enjoy supporting people and groups. Whether that is finding information, linking up services, or helping a group of people make a dream project a reality.
I have a young daughter who keeps me and my partner busy. I am sharing with her my love of nature and the outdoors. I love seeing friends and family, and I have recently started writing a food blog.
