Public Health & Engagement Librarian
I’m part of the Knowledge Service team. I find research and evidence to support the work the buzz Neighbourhood Health Workers and Physical Activity Referral Service do. I’m working on ways to extend this support across Manchester. I also do work increasing awareness of health information literacy and promoting the use of high quality health information across Manchester.
I’ve pretty much always worked in libraries and many of them! I’ve worked in the academic, further education and health sectors. I previously worked as the buzz Knowledge Service Assistant, went away to get experience in different libraries and then came back to put it all into practice here. I am really glad to be back working with the team. As mine is quite a new role, I’m looking forward to seeing how it develops.
The thing I love most about buzz is the team! They’re an amazing group of people to work with. Everyone is committed to helping people and improving communities which creates a lovely work environment.
As a librarian, of course I love to read. I do creative writing and love playing squash, doing yoga and going on bike rides. Inspired by the Stranger Things series, I’ve also recently started playing Dungeons and Dragons.
