Library & Knowledge Service Manager
I manage the buzz Knowledge Service. We provide a service to all people working in health and social care in Manchester ensuring they have access to the very best information to support the health and wellbeing of Manchester’s communities. I also manage our site at Prestwich hospital which provides library services to all Greater Manchester Mental Health FT staff.
Over the past 10 years I have worked in various NHS health libraries in both primary care and acute trusts. My roles involved connecting health care professionals to high quality information to underpin the treatment of patients as well as supporting research and service improvement projects.
Being part of team buzz is really rewarding, there are so many great innovations and projects going on to help support Manchester’s communities! Contributing to this and helping connect people to the right information to support their health and wellbeing is the highlight of my job.
I moved to Manchester to complete my MA in Library and Information Studies in 2008 and never left! It’s a great place to live and there’s always loads going on. In my spare time I enjoy going to the theatre, reading and baking.
