PARS Exercise Tutor
My role involves running a wide range of cardiac rehabilitation, COPD, lower back pain and other various classes across Manchester.
I completed my first Fitness Instructor course back in 2006. Moving on from there, I completed a Nutrition and Weight Management Diploma, Applied Nutrition Modules, Level 3 Advanced Personal Trainer Diploma, and in 2013, I completed my Phase IV BACPR in Cardiac Rehabilitation.
Whilst only working within the buzz PARS team for a short space of time (since April 2020), I genuinely think the care, energy and enthusiasm that each team shows for local communities and service users alike, is incredible.
I enjoy writing, and feature in the occasional article for PT Magazine. I’ve also just submitted my first article for MyProtein.
I also genuinely enjoy keeping up to date with the latest evidence when it comes to both exercise and nutrition, which is of the utmost importance, especially in this field of work.
Outside of writing and research, playing football is a big passion of mine (rehabilitating an injury at the moment, which has kept me out, but hopefully I’ll be back playing soon).
I also enjoy bodyweight training (calisthenics), as well as photography and cooking (I’m a dab hand in that kitchen!).
If you found this page helpful, maybe someone else will too?
