Counter-drone technology firm D-Fend Solutions has announced its expansion into the UK with the establishment of D-Fend Solutions AD U.K. Ltd. and the opening of a new office in London. The move aims to strengthen the company’s presence in the UK’s defence, security, and aviation sectors, where demand for advanced counter-drone solutions is growing.
The new office, located at Upper Woburn Place in Euston, places the company in close proximity to key corporate, governmental, and institutional stakeholders. With easy access to major transport links via Euston Station and Russell Square, the location is set to enhance business operations and collaboration.
Strengthening UK Operations
As part of its UK expansion, D-Fend Solutions has appointed a leadership team with extensive defence and aviation experience. The UK division is led by Managing Director Martin Broomhead, a former British Army Air Corps pilot with a background in aerospace and defence firms including Boeing, Thales, and QinetiQ.
Other key figures include Sales Director Mark Rutherford, who is focused on growing the company’s market presence, and Simon Foreman, a former Royal Navy Commander and Senior Weapon Engineer Officer, who leads pre-sales efforts and customer demonstrations. Myles Gabriel, an avionics technician, has also joined the team to support training and implementation.
Commitment to UK Airspace Security
D-Fend Solutions’ CEO and Chairman, Zohar Halachmi, emphasised the significance of the UK expansion:
“The establishment of our UK entity and new London office marks another milestone in D-Fend’s global growth. The UK is at the forefront of adopting innovative counter-drone technologies, and this move allows us to better serve our existing customers while addressing new opportunities in this critical market.”
The company’s EnforceAir technology has already been deployed at major UK international airports, police forces, and defence and homeland security organisations. The system, which enables the safe and controlled takeover of rogue drones, has proven effective in complex environments where traditional countermeasures may pose risks.
Martin Broomhead, Managing Director of D-Fend Solutions UK, highlighted the company’s growing role in the UK security landscape:
“The launch of our UK entity and London office solidifies our commitment to the UK market, ensuring we can provide even more localised support and expertise. We are now better positioned than ever to meet the rapidly evolving drone-related security challenges across the UK.”
Enhancing Counter-Drone Capabilities
With drones becoming an increasing security concern across various sectors, D-Fend Solutions aims to provide non-kinetic, cyber-based solutions that allow authorities to mitigate threats without disruption. The company’s UK expansion is expected to enhance collaboration with governmental and corporate partners, reinforcing national security efforts in the face of evolving drone challenges.
