Carlos Alcaraz breezed past Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime, winning 6-1 6-1 at Roland Garros to reach the Olympic tennis final. The four-time Grand Slam winner, 21, will face either Novak Djokovic or Lorenzo Musetti for the gold.
Alcaraz, contesting his third major final in two months, dominated the clay courts. Djokovic, aiming for his first Olympic gold, lost to Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final last month. After his semi-final, Alcaraz expressed confidence and sent a message to Spanish fans.
Me voy con una medalla de plata increíble ❤️ y con la cabeza alta después de una tremenda batalla hoy! Enhorabuena @DjokerNole por ese oro que tanto has buscado 🤝🏻

He said: “Get ready for the show I’m going to put on (laughs).
“I hope you’ll cheer. I truly appreciate everyone in the stadium and those who came to Paris to support me. Your backing means a lot in this tournament.
“To everyone watching at home in Spain, thank you for your support. Watch on TV and cheer for every point. I’m going to give you what you want: the gold.”
